Early Autumn - Apple and Cinnamon

New VapeSafe Early Autumn eLiquid.

Early Autumn - Apples and Cinnamon flavored eLiquid evokes memories of the beginning of fall. The feel of the warm autumn sun on the skin. The sight of vibrant hues of amber and crimson leaves hanging in gently swaying trees soaking up the light. The rustling sound of the breeze slipping through the tree branches tugging and teasing the remaining leaves into releasing their hold and floating downward. The laughing children raking the leaves into piles and then running and jumping into the soft, luscious piles scattering the leaves again. The delicious smells of baking apple and cinnamon pies wafting through open windows. These are the sights, smells and tastes of Early Autumn.

Summary: "Simply Unreadable"

Others have said it, but the Kindle version is terrible. The inability to see the board positions means that I couldn't just read. But the diagrams are so messed that even trying to set one up is nearly impossible. Save yourself the frustration.

Summary: "Get the ebook from Project Gutenberg instead"

As was noted in another review, this was not formatted for the Kindle. It's impossible to read the chess diagrams. However, you can get this ebook for free from Project Gutenberg as a .txt file. And you can read it on your PC (but not with the Kindle PC software). All the chess diagrams line up perfectly.

I had to give this title 1 star because it is unreadable on the Kindle. And if you can't read a book, really there is no other rating to give it.

Watch Video Here: http://www.amazon.com/review/RNLODPO7CQREJ THIS REVIEW IS ABOUT THE KINDLE VERSION OF THIS WONDERFUL BOOK.

It is just not possible to read the chess diagrams on Kindle. I am very disappointed. This was my first ebook for Kindle and I just got it... If all the math/chess/music diagrams are like this one, I will return my new Kindle.

The worst thing is that I haven't found a "Refound Button" for this ebook.

Is it possible to return ebooks? or Do you now any solution for this problem?

Summary: "Formatting problems mentioned by others"

I'll second the formatting problems mentioned by others. All the chess board are askew because the spacing was not maintained from the original. This makes the book unpleasant to read at least, though still somewhat useful.

Summary: "How not to adapt a book for the Kindle...."

The book itself has been fairly reviewed by others; I shall simply comment on the Kindle version. It appears that the original online version of the text was prepared "back in the day" when the VT-100 (or perhaps the Xterm) was the normal output device. The text was scanned or typed as ASCII, and all 167 of the chess board diagrams were carefully rendered as ASCII line drawings. Unfortunately, this kind of diagram requires the use of a constant-width font. The Kindle version is rendered in a nicely kerned Times Roman, or similar, and as a result the diagrams are unreadable. (It would be nice to know if the Kindle actually supports the use of fixed-width fonts for non-HTML content.)

I'd like to get a decent chess book for my Kindle, with some annotated games from the last 150 years. This isn't it.
